Our 2024 VBS will be held July 8-12 from 9:30 am to noon.  This year’s theme is the Lord’s Prayer.  Registration forms were sent out June 20 via email and US Mail.  If you would like to attend but didn’t receive the information, please call the church office at 412-824-4525.

Summer is just around the corner, and here at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Eastmont we’re planning an exciting Vacation Bible School (VBS) experience!  This year’s theme is The Lord’s Prayer.

This fun-filled VBS is for kids from the age of three through those who have completed grade six.  Teen helpers are welcomed and desired.

The program begins on Monday, July 8, and continues through Friday, July 12.

Each day begins at 9:30 am and wraps up at 12 noon.

We will be outside for most activities.  We will gather at the big tent every morning.  Adults and teens are invited to participate as leaders every day or to join the closing in the sanctuary at 11:45 a.m.

“On Earth as in Heaven” helps children learn about hunger, hope and the work to which God calls us in the world.  The five-day program focuses on the Lord’s Prayer, with stories and activities related to hunger, health, peace and more!

There is no registration fee.

We do require a registration form and a media release form for each student and teen helper.  One copy is included in this mailing; if you need extra copies, give us a call and we’ll send you another one (or more).  Please sign on the second page of the registration form.

Every day we will take an offering for God’s Global Barnyard.  This project provides chicks, pigs and other animals so families can provide for themselves.  We also receive food donations for the local food banks.  We recommend shelf stable milk, canned tuna, chicken and salmon, toilet tissue, and toiletries.  Emmanuel maintains a small emergency food bank and we donate to several local food banks.
